Summary
The place about which Per-Jakez Helias writes, is an island to which sailors sail in order to find eternal rest. At the centre of this ballad of the lost, I have placed a lullaby for a newborn child, in reference to Pierre Loti’s beautiful novel, Pêcheur d’Islande.
The first recording below was made with the Maîtrise de La Perverie, conducted by Gilles Gérard.
The second one with the ensemble Territoires du souffle (unpublished).
